The largest grain handling seaports in January-November 2016 are defined

In January-November 2016 the largest volumes of grain shipment were provided by Nikolaev (8.12 million tonnes) and Odessa sea ports (7.5 million tons).

It is reported by Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA).

The Top 5 grain handling seaports includes:

1. Nikolaev - 8.12 million tons (+ 3.1% compared to the same period last year);

2. Odessa - 7.5 million tonnes (-2.7%);

3. Yuzhny - 7.2 million tons (-18.3%);

4. Chernonorsk - 6.9 million tons (+ 57.6%);

5. NSR Oktyabrsk - 2.5 million tons (+ 23.1%).

It was earlier reported that according to the optimistic scenario Ukrainian ports transshipment capacities will amount to 157.3 million tons of grain cargoes annually by 2020.

By the results of 2015 Nikolaev and Odessa seaports handled 8.7 and 8.6 million tonnes of grain respectively. Read more in Agribusiness 2015 Infobook.
