Sunflower stocks in Ukraine tripled

By the data of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, as of September 1, sunflower stocks in Ukraine reached 1 834.6 thou. tons, having significantly exceeded the last year's indicator of 672.0 thou. tons.

UkrAgroConsult reports that 840.2 thou. tons (+373.3 thou. tons, or 80% more as of the same date in 2017) were stored directly at agricultural enterprises, while 994.4 thou. tons (+789.3 thou. tons or 385% more) were stocked at storing and processing facilities.

As of September 1, 2018, processing enterprises reduced soybean stocks by 33.4% to 67.1 thou. tons compared to the corresponding period last year (September 1, 2017: 100.7 thou. tons). Rapeseed stocks as of the reporting date are 4% lower than last year and amount to 849.3 thou. tons against 884.2 thou. tons a year earlier.

Previously it was reported that in the ports of Odessa region the price for wheat, barley and sunflower had not changed. The cost of corn and soybeans rose, whereas rapeseed fell in price.
