Grains harvested from 12 million hectares — Harvest Online 2018

As of October 9, 2018, grain and leguminous crops are harvested on 11.8 mln ha or 79% of the areas.

According to the Harvest Online 2018 project, 45.3 mln tons of grain has been threshed with a productivity of 3.85 tons/ha (2017: 3.86 tons/ha).

The following yields are reported:

  • corn — 10.4 mln tons from 1.7 mln ha (37%) with a productivity of 6.22 tons/ha;
  • buckwheat — 121 thou. tons from 97 thou. ha (90%) with a productivity of 1.24 tons/ha;
  • millet — 72 thou. tons from 46 thou. ha (82%) with a productivity of 1.55 tons/ha;
  • sunflower — 11 mln tons from 5 mln ha (83%) with a productivity of 2.2 tons/ha;
  • soybean — 2.7 mln tons from 1.1 mln ha (63%) with a productivity of 2.51 tons/ha;
  • sugar beet — 4.9 mln tons from 102 thou. ha (37%) with a productivity of 47.8 tons/ha.

The largest amount of grain is harvested in Odessa region — 3.9 mln tons, Kharkiv region — 3.1 mln tons, and Poltava region — 3 mln tons.

The highest yield of grain and leguminous crops is registered in Khmelnitsky region — 5.55 tons/ha, Sumy region — 5.35 tons/ha and Cherkasy region — 5.34 tons/ha.
