49 mln tons of grain harvested in Ukraine — Harvest Online 2018

As of October 16, 2018, grain and leguminous crops are harvested on 12.3 mln ha or 83% of the areas.

According to the Harvest Online 2018 project, 49.3 mln tons of grain have been threshed with a productivity of 4 tons/ha.

The following yields are reported:

  • corn — 14.4 mln tons from 2.2 mln ha (49%) with a productivity of 6.46 tons/ha;
  • buckwheat — 125 thou. tons from 101 thou. ha (93%) with a productivity of 1.23 tons/ha;
  • millet — 74 thou. tons from 48 thou. ha (91%) with a productivity of 1.54 tons/ha;
  • sunflower — 12.1 mln tons from 5.4 mln ha (90%) with a productivity of 2.22 tons/ha;
  • soybean — 3.3 mln tons from 1.3 mln ha (76%) with a productivity of 2.53 tons/ha;
  • sugar beet — 6.7 mln tons from 140 thou. ha (37%) with a productivity of 48.3 tons/ha.

The highest productivity of grain and leguminous crops is registered in Khmelnytsk region — 5.84 tons/ha, Cherkasy region — 5.75 tons/ha, Vinnytsia region — 5.73 tons/ha, Poltava region — 5.56 tons/ha, Sumy region — 5.65 tons/ha and Kyiv region — 5.39 tons/ha.
