Harvest Online 2018: over 60 mln tons of grains cropped in Ukraine

By November 5, 2018, grain and leguminous crops have been harvested on 13.7 mln ha or 92% of the areas. According to the Harvest Online 2018 project, 60.7 mln tons of grain have been threshed with a productivity of 4.43 tons/ha (2017: 4.02 tons/ha).

The yields are reported as follows:

  • corn — 25.6 mln tons on 3.5 mln ha (77%) with a productivity of 7.24 tons/ha (2017: 4.96 tons/ha);
  • buckwheat — 134 thou. tons on 106 thou. ha (98%) with a productivity of 1.26 tons/ha (2017: 1.1 tons/ha);
  • millet — 78 thou. tons on 50 thou. ha (96%) with a productivity of 1.55 tons/ha (2017: 1.46 tons/ha);
  • sunflower — 13.2 mln tons on 5.9 mln ha (98%) with a productivity of 2.24 tons/ha (2017: 1.97 tons/ha);
  • soybean — 4.2 mln tons on 1.6 mln ha (96%) with a productivity of 2.25 tons/ha (2017: 1.91 tons/ha);
  • sugar beet — 11.2 mln tons on 231 thou. ha (83%) with a productivity of 48.8 tons/ha (2017: 44.5 tons/ha). 9.6 mln tons are delivered to processing facilities.

The highest productivity of grain and leguminous crops is registered in Cherkasy region — 6.82 tons/ha, Vinnytsia region — 6.8 tons/ha, Khmelnytsk region — 6.7 tons/ha, Kyiv region — 6.26 tons/ha, Sumy region — 6.23 tons/ha and Poltava region — 6.11 tons/ha.
