Grain exports from Ukraine hit 15.5 mln tons, exceeding prior year's volume

Since the start of MY2018/19, as of November 14, Ukraine exported 15.51 million tons of grain, which is 525 thou. tons more than the indicator for the last year's comparative period.

According to the data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the volumes of exported crops are as follows:

  • wheat — 8.39 million tons, (–595 thou. tons y-o-y);
  • corn — 3.81 million tons (+1.532 million tons);
  • barley — 2.96 million tons (–703 thou. tons);
  • rye — 65.2 thou. tons.

Analysts improved the estimate of the bulk yield of grain crops in 2018 to 65 million tons, which is 5% more y-o-y.
