Grain shipments from Ukraine increase

Since the start of MY2018/19, as of November 21, Ukraine exported 16.58 million tons of grain, which is 772 thou. tons more than the indicator for the last year's comparative period.

According to the data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the volumes of exported crops are as follows:

  • wheat — 8.83 million tons, (–571 thou. tons y-o-y);
  • corn — 4.4 million tons (+1 759 thou. tons);
  • barley — 3 million tons (–708 thou. tons);
  • rye — 65.8 thou. tons (+56.7 thou. tons).

Analysts improved the estimate of the bulk yield of grain crops in 2018 to 65 million tons, which is 5% more y-o-y.
