Ukraine exported soybeans to Algeria for the first time

In November 2018, Ukraine for the first time exported soybeans to Algeria. The total volume of shipments in the indicated month amounted to 33 thou. tons, APK-Inform reports.

In October last year, Algeria bought a large export consignment of Ukrainian soybean oil in the amount of 6 thou. tons. It is notable, that the previous supply of the product was in summer of 2014.

Algeria is not a major buyer of soybeans, importing oilseeds as required mainly from Brazil, India, and China. The state mainly buys soybean processing products. According to the USDA, Algeria is in the top 10 importers and consumers of soybean oil in the world.

In December 2018, soybeans and soybean oil were not exported from Ukraine to Algeria.
