Kernel delivered 2.6x more grain to export markets

In 9M FY2019, Kernel increased the volume of grain exports to 7.97 million tons, 2.6x more from the corresponding period of FY2018 — 3.07 million tons.

"Supported with a record harvest in Ukraine, infrastructure business is on its way to deliver the best annual operating result ever: silo intake volumes reached 4.2 million tons YTD, 29 per cent up y-o-y, and 9 months export terminals throughput volumes in Ukraine exceeded 3.4 million tons, up 15 per cent y-o-y, with record monthly grain transshipment volumes reported in March 2019," the report says.

The company boosted grain trading volumes in Ukraine by 65.3 per cent to 4.66 million tons vs. 2.82 million tons in FY2018. Deliveries to other countries grew 21.8x to 3.32 million tons (9M FY2018: 0.15 million tons).

In Q3 FY2019, Kernel grain trading volumes reached a 94.6 per cent increase — 2.12 million tons vs. 1.09 million tons in the prior year's comparative period.

As previously reported, Kernel had increased the volumes of sunflower oil sold in Q3 FY2019 to 390 thousand tons, up 40 per cent.
