Grain export 2018/19: traded volumes up 17 pct

Grain exports from Ukraine as of May 29th reached 46,13 million tons. The Agrarian Ministry reports that this volume is 17.15 per cent (9.75 million tons) more than the indicator for the last year's comparative period (39,38 million tons).

The volumes of exported crops are as follows:

  • wheat — 14.93 million tons (–1,15 million tons y-o-y);
  • corn — 26.95 million tons (+11,05 million tons);
  • barley — 3.5 million tons (–0.69 million tons);
  • rye — 88.2 thou. tons (+53.2 thou. tons).

An order was issued to amend the date of entry into force of the new standard for wheat DSTU 3768:2019 “Wheat. Technical conditions”, replacing the effective DSTU 3768:2010.
