Ukraine set a half-year record of poultry meat export

Over the period January-June 2019, 211.1 thousand tons of poultry meat worth USD 307.1 million were exported from Ukraine.

The State Fiscal Service of Ukraine (SFSU) informs that the key importers in the indicated period are as follows:

• Saudi Arabia — USD 76.2 million (24.81 percent);
• the Netherlands — USD 52.85 million (17.21 percent);
• Slovakia — USD 33 million (10.75 percent);
• others — USD145 million (47.24 percent).

According to the estimates of the Union of Poultry Breeders in Ukraine, this indicator is the highest in the history of foreign trade in the produce for six months.

As previously reported, the structure of annual meat consumption in Ukraine is dominated by poultry meat.
