Land reform in Ukraine to be complete in 2019, President Zelenskiy

Land reform will be undertaken in Ukraine in 2019, providing for the basis of a land market opening in 2020. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy in Turkey, pravda.com.ua reports.

"This year we will definitely conduct a land reform, thus next year it will allow us to market 40 million hectares, the best in the world in terms of quality," said the President of Ukraine.

The President stressed there are already Turkish companies in Ukraine that own land, including Onur.

"I hope there will be more such companies. Especially in the southern part of Ukraine, where there is a need to create and develop meliorative systems. Here we also consider opportunities for public-private partnership," added Volodymyr Zelenskiy.

Previously reported that the Office of the President of Ukraine was negotiating with the World Bank on the choice of a model for opening the farmland market.
