Farmland market model presented in August, President's office

The model of the farmland market in Ukraine may be presented by the end of August, Advisor to the Deputy Chairman of the Office of the President Denys Maliuska informed in the comment for AgroPolit.com.

He noted that the consultations with experts and specialists of the industry are now underway.

"We have strict time limits. If we want to launch the land market in 2020, we should have already started the process. We are not just launching the market, we are to do much of preparatory work undone in recent years," said Denys Maliuska.

Officials of the President's office also added that there is a distinct possibility that the market will be opened both for individuals and legal entities.

"From an economic perspective, there are no reasons for opening the land market only for individuals," stated Denys Maliuska.

According to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy, land reform will be undertaken in Ukraine in 2019, providing for the basis of a land market opening in 2020.
