India dominates Ukrainian sunflower oil exports in Jan-July

In January-July 2019, Ukraine exported 3.79 million tons of sunflower oil for the amount of USD 2.59 billion.

The data of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine (SFSU) shows that the key importers of sunflower, safflower or cotton oil in the indicated period are as followed:

  • India — 1.27 million tons, USD 871.05 million;
  • China — 452.26 thousand tons, USD 308.9 million;
  • the Netherlands — 445.44 thousand tons, USD 304.45 million;
  • other states — 1.62 million tons, USD 1107.86 million.

In January-June 2019, agricultural trade turnover between Ukraine and the European Union surged by 23% to USD 4.8 billion. Six countries remain the largest trade partners for Ukraine in the EU: the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Poland, Germany and France.
