World Bank Group President David Malpass will arrive in Kyiv on Thursday, August 22nd, 2019 for a two-day visit to discuss farmland market perspectives in Ukraine with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy.

Mr. Malpass will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday, August 23rd.

During this visit, World Bank Group President will discuss Ukraine’s plans for economic reforms aimed at boosting growth and creating more jobs and better opportunities for the Ukrainian people.

The official agenda does not include the issue of land, merely common phrases, AgroPolit.com writes.

"Mr. Malpass plans to meet with the Minister of Finance, the Central Bank Governor, Mayors, Members of Parliament, banking sector representatives, farmers, and representatives of the private sector," the message says.

According to AgroPolit.com, one of the options for land reform in Ukraine is being prepared for the Ukrainian Government by the Bank's experts and will be presented at the meeting of the two presidents.

Earlier it was reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy stated Land reform would be undertaken in Ukraine in 2019, providing for the basis of a land market opening in 2020.
