Egg exports scaled up 44 pct in Jan-Aug

In January-August 2019, egg exports from Ukraine amounted to 95.6 thou. tons, 44% more from the prior year's comparative period.
By the data of the State Fiscal Sevice of Ukraine, the key importers are as follows:
- the U.A.E. — USD 18.9 million (23.9 thou. tons);
- Iraq — USD 13.3 million (16.9 thou. tons);
- Virgin Islands — USD 7.7 million (9.8 thou. tons);
- others — USD 35.5 million (45.1 thou. tons).
In monetary terms, egg exports amounted to USD 75.4 million vs. USD 57.75 million in January-August 2018.
In six months of the Y2019, Ukraine supplied 68.2 thou. t of poultry meat to the EU, 9.3% more from the January-June 2018 volume.
