Cygnet completed soybean harvesting campaign

Cygnet Agrocompany finalized soybeans harvesting. The bulk yield of the oilseed crop totalled 16 thou. t. The total allocated for soybean in the current production season amounted to 5.8 thou. ha.

According to Oleksandr Haponyuk, Chief Agronomist at Cygnet-Center, soybean yields varied significantly depending on varieties: some yielded 3.2 t/ha, while others — 2.2 t/ha.

"This year, the dates have shifted a bit as we usually harvest soybeans in early September, in the first decade. Of course, the weather had its impact, but we have conducted harvesting on 5.8 thou. ha of soybean within 13 days. Well-organized teamwork of the agronomic and engineering service provided for this result. There were enough trucks for transportation, and the elevator received the crop with no delays," said Oleksandr Haponyuk.

As of September 26th, harvesting of grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine was conducted on the area of 11.1 mln ha or 72% of the total. The crop reached 45.1 mln t using the average yield of 4.086 t/ha (2018: 3.62 t/ha).
