Plants in Ukraine processed 2 mln t of sugar beet

As of October 4th, 27 plants started beet sugar production season. Plants produced 287.4 thou. t of sugar, the National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine (Ukrsugar) informs.
2.08 mln t of sugar beet were processed by the reporting date.
As a reminder, only 32 plants are to be launched this season, less from previous years. The number of factories operating in the season was cut by overproduction and low sugar price observed recently.
