Harvest Online 2019: new crop sunflower amounts to 13.8 mln t

As of October 28th, harvesting of grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine was conducted on the area of 13.7 mln ha or 90% of the total. The crop reached 63.6 mln t using the average yield of 4.64 t/ha (2018: 4.2 t/ha).

By the Harvest Online 2019 project, the new crop volumes are as followed:

  • buckwheat — 87 thou. t on 65 thou. ha or 96%, 1.33 t/ha;
  • millet — 152 thou. t on 81 thou. ha or 90%, 1.87 t/ha;
  • corn — 23.7 mln t on 3.5 mln ha or 70%, 6.78 t/ha;
  • soybean — 3.5 mln t on 1.5 mln ha or 96%, 2.32 t/ha;
  • sunflower — 13.8 mln t on 5.6 mln ha or 96%, 2.44 t/ha;
  • sugar beet — 7 mln t on 160 thou. ha or 73%, 43.8 t/ha.
