Farmland market opening shall bring investment to agriculture in Ukraine — Aleksandr Pan

Founder of Mak Holding Aleksandr Pan informed about the investment plans in Ukraine once the land market is open.

"Voting in the first reading for the draft law № 2178-10 is a positive signal for all investors in agribusiness. These are real steps to make the market predictable and stable, to bring it out of the shadow. Of course, it is more profitable for investors to build a business in conditions where the land has a legal owner, there are no raiding cases and patchy soil cultivation," says Aleksandr Pan.

He notes that the company sees vertical integration as the best way for its development.

"We are interested in investing in land and processing, thus contributing to the well-being of the Ukrainian economy. However, it is impossible without a regulated land market," comments Aleksandr Pan.

Previously reported that Mak Holding traded 314 thou. t of grains since the start of 2019/20.
