Three major markets for Ukrainian sugar account for 40 pct of supply

In January–October 2019, sugar exports from Ukraine reached 226.73 thou. t for the amount of USD 81.4 mln.

As reported by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine (SFS), the key importers in the period are as followed:

• Azerbaijan — USD 19.29 mln (23.7%);
• Tajikistan — USD 7.46 mln (9.16%);
• Georgia — USD 5.32 mln (6.54%);
• other countries — USD 49.34 mln (60.61%).

As of November 15th, plants in Ukraine produced 1.099 mln t of sugar. 31 plants have started the beet sugar production season 2019/20.
