Grain export 2019/20: commodities trade totals over 32 mln t

Ukrainian seaports have shipped 32.57 mln t of staple grains for export since the beginning of 2019/20.

As of Jan.14, commodities shipment increased by 7.43 mln t from the comparative period of the previous year, the information and analytical portal of the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine reports.

Grain export structure in the reporting period is as follows:

  • wheat — 15.27 mln t (4.37 mln t more y-o-y);
  • barley — 3.79 mln t (616 thou. t more y-o-y);
  • corn — 13.14 mln t (2.65 mln t more y-o-y);
  • rye — 5 thou. t (76 thou. t less y-o-y).

Earlier it was reported that Deputy Minister for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Taras Vysotsky made a statement about the revision of the agreements under the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the grain market participants.
