Ukraine among the key rapeseed producers in 2019

In the year 2019, Canada produced the largest volume of rapeseed — 19 mln t.
Key producers of the oilseed crop in 2019 are as followed:
- Canada: 19 mln t
- China: 13.1 mln t
- India: 7.7 mln t
- France: 3.6 mln t
- Ukraine: 3.3 mln t
- Germany: 3 mln t
- Poland: 2.3 mln t
- Australia: 2.3 mln t
- Russia: 2.1 mln t
- UK: 1.8 mln t
Canada is the major global rapeseed exporter with 9.5 mln t of supplies in 2019/20, accounting for 62% of the total supply. The EU member states are the main consumers of the crop with 6.0 mln t of imports, China 2.5 mln t and Japan 2.4 mln t.
Earlier it was reported that high world prices for soybeans and oil support the prices for sunflower, soybeans and rapeseed in Ukraine.
