Winter barley yield in Vinnytsya region dropped 9%

As of July 27, early grain and leguminous crops in Vinnytsya region were harvested on 167.9 thou. ha or 50% of the planned 414.1 thou. ha, Vinnytsya Region State Administration informs.

According to the report, agriproducers harvested 748.8 thou. t of grain using the average productivity of 4.46 t/ha, including:

  • winter barley: 147.9 thou. t on 32.8 thou. ha or 100% of the planned area using the average yield of 4.51 t/ha, 9% lower from 2019 (4.97 t/ha)
  • winter wheat: 546.2 thou. t on 118.9 thou. ha or 38.6% of the planned 308.4 thou. ha using the average yield of 4.59 t/ha, 19% less from 2019 (5.68 t/ha)
  • peas: 13.6 thou. t on 4.7 thou. ha or 100% of areas using the average yield of 2.89 t/ha, 16% higher from 2019 (2.49 t/ha)
  • spring barley: 41.1 thou. t on 11.5 thou. ha or 20.3% of the planned 56.7 thou. ha using the average yield of 3.57 t/ha, 16% lower from last year's 4.25 t/ha
  • winter rapeseed: 138.2 thou. t on 48.2 thou. ha or 100% of the areas using the average yield of 2.87 t/ha, 7% lower from 2019 (3.07 t/ha)

In Poltava region, 39.8 thou. t of winter barley were harvested on 7.8 thou. ha using the average yield of 5.1 t/ha. This indicator is 0.54 t/ha (11.8%) higher from last year.
