NIBULON transshipment terminal in Cherkasy region received first million tons of ag commodities

River transshipment terminal of NIBULON in Cherkasy region, Vitove branch, has received 1.1 mln t of agricultural commodities for storage since its commissioning in 2009.

"This is our first million of received agricultural products, and thanks to the well-coordinated work of the branch staff, modern technological equipment and partners-suppliers of the region, it is not the last," commented Terminal Director Vadym Kichuk.

The company adds that over the years, the terminal received corn, wheat, soybean, sunflower, rapeseed, barley and sorghum, and concluded a total of 936 supply contracts with agricultural producers mainly from Cherkasy and Kirovohrad regions.

Vitove branch was the first facility of NIBULON starting a large-scale investment project of the company to develop river transportation in Ukraine.

Earlier it was reported that within nine months of 2020, port operators in Ukrainian maritime ports handled 118.7 mln t of cargo, 4.2 mln t or 3.7% more YoY.
