A.G.R. Group set to increase cultivated farmland area to 50 thou. ha in 2020

Misak Khidiryan's A.G.R. Group is set to increase the volume of cultivated land to 50 thou. ha by the end of 2020.

"By the end of this year, we plan to grow our land bank to at least 50 thou. ha. We are working on it, negotiations are ongoing," agricultural holding operating officer David Ananyan stated in an interview for Latifundist.com.

According to him, A.G.R. Group develops crop production on 5.2 thou. ha in Chernihiv region in Novhorod-Siversky and Semenivka districts, in Kyiv region, the fields (about 6 thou. ha) are located mainly in Brovary district. Also in Poltava region, A.G.R. Group rents farmland in Grebinka, Pyriatyn and Lokhvytsia districts.

"In total, the holding cultivates 28.8 thou. ha of land. We grow corn (21 thou. ha) and soybean (7 thou. ha)," David Ananyan added.

As a reminder, in July of the current year, A.G.R. Group commissioned the first phase of Seredyna-Buda grain elevator in Sumy region. The storage capacity is currently 28 thou. t. The number of employees will total of 21 specialists.
