World's largest grain cleaning separators installed at Kernel's TransGrainTerminal

In October 2020, two of the world's largest drum-type grain cleaning separators were installed at the export terminal of Kernel in Chernomorsk port, TransGrainTerminal.

As reported by the equipment supplier the company OLIS, two separators for grain cleaning LUCH ZSO-300 with a total capacity of 600 t/h were installed.

"Drum-type separators LUCH ZSO-300 are universal grain cleaning equipment which can operate both in the stream for preliminary cleaning when receiving grain, and in the primary and secondary cleaning mode during grain processing, as well as in the control mode before loading onto the ship. At the same time, the design simplicity and reliability allows it to be used both in harsh harbour conditions and on linear elevators," noted Vladimir Cheglatonev, Commercial Director of OLIS.

The first phase of the terminal was commissioned in early 2020.

"The storage capacity is 138 thou. t. Now TransBulkTerminal and TransGrainTerminal enable Kernel to export 650 thou. t of grain per month. The company plans to transship 1 mln t of grain per month during the peak season and reach a turnover of 7+ mln t this year," the message reads.

Earlier it was reported that OLIS put into operation a complete plant for processing oats in Kazakhstan for the company Mibeko.
