Brazil soybean to be delivered to Ukraine in April

A shipment of 51.5 thou. t of soybean will reach Ukraine in April. The delivery is made by Papa John bulk carrier running under the flag of Marshall Is, Ukrainian Shipping Magazine (USM) writes.

It is reported that the company Allseeds purchased soybean to utilize its crushing plant capacity in the port of Pivdenny (Odesa region).

"The vessel Papa John is sailing from Brazil, where soybean now costs 520 USD/t. The purchase was made in Brazil due to excessively high prices set by Ukrainian producers. The company apparently had to opt for imports so as not to stop production at its facility," the message reads.
