Cabinet banned wheat and meslin, sunflower oil import from Russia

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine expanded the list of product groups banned to import to Ukraine from the Russian Federation.

According to Government order No 269 of March 29, 2021, the import supply of the following agricultural commodities is forbidden:

  • 1001 wheat and meslin
  • 1512 sunflower-seed, safflower or cotton-seed oil and fractions thereof, whether or not refined, but not chemically modified

The order is effective 10 days after publication.

In mid-February, Russia extended the list of sanctioned Ukrainian companies. In November 2018, Russia sanctioned a number of Ukrainian agricultural companies, top management and politicians.
