Ukraine's wheat production 2021/22 forecast 14% up: May USDA report

Wheat production projection for Ukraine in the 2021/22(July 2021–June 2022) season is increased by the USDA analysts by 14.08%, or 3.58 mln t YoY (2020/21 estimate: 25.42 mln t), the May report data show.

The export of wheat from Ukraine in the coming season is also improved by 17.6%, or 3 mln t YoY, to 20 mln t (2020/21 estimate: 17 mln t).

Wheat ending stocks in Ukraine are seen at 1.55 mln t, 0.1 mln t, or 6.9% higher YoY (2020/21 estimate: 1.45 mln t).

FAO in its latest report put the international wheat trade in the 2020/21 season 2.0% higher YoY.

As of May 12, wheat export supply from Ukraine 2020/21 dropped by 21% YoY.
