Ukraine sea ports shipped 36% less grain in Jan-Apr

Ukrainian sea ports provided for the transshipment of 11.696 mln t of grain in January-April 2021, 36.2% less YoY (Jan-Apr 2020: 18.328 mln t), the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) reports.

Ukrainian ports handled a total of 11.858 mln t of cereals during the reporting period, 36.7% less YoY. State stevedores transshipped 183.6 thou. t of grain at the berths of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA), 32% less YoY, while private companies handled 7.769 mln t, 35.1% more YoY.

Jan-Apr grain transshipment by the largest maritime ports in Ukraine:

  • Chornomorsk (Odesa region): 3.755 mln t, 28.7% less YoY
  • Mykolaiv (Mykolaiv region): 2.710 mln t, 44.9%
  • Pivdenny (Odesa region): 2.506 mln t, 21.1%
  • Odesa (Odesa region): 1.777 mln t, 39.4%
  • Sea Specialized Port Olvia (Odesa region): 341.94 thou t, 58%

Earlier it was reported that staple grains export from Ukraine in April 2021 increased by 3.1% mth/mth to 3.4 mln t.
