First rapeseed cuts in Khmelnytsky region suggest yield at 3.1 t/ha

Agricultural enterprises in Khmelnytsky region have started harvesting early crops. In the 2021 crop year, the early grains, legumes and rapeseed area in the region is 367 thou. ha, the agrarian department of the region's state administration reports.

"As of July 13, winter barley harvesting progressed to 1.8 thou. ha using the average yield of 5.2 t/ha, winter wheat to 0.3 thou. ha yielding 5.2 t/ha, and winter rapeseed to 2.8 thou. ha yielding 3.1 t/ha," the report reads.

The department states that the early crops yield indicators are 15-17% higher than in the 2020 crop year.

Farms plan to complete the harvesting campaign within 12-15 days. The producers are fully supplied with harvesting machines, fuel and lubricants.

Previously reported that Agrotrade estimates rapeseed yield in its fields at 2.8 t/ha.
