Ukrzaliznytsia cracked grains shipment record in November

The national carrier Ukrzaliznytsia (UZ) provided for the shipment of 4.1 mln t of grain cargo in November 2021, an absolute record for the company in this type of dispatching.

As reported, this indicator is 2.7% above the previous year's relevant period.

Transportation of grain for export during the reporting period was up 9.2%, to 3.7 mln t, import deliveries were up 8%, to 16.2 thou. t. Grain logistics in domestic shipments amounted to 256,000 t and transit shipments 125,000 t.

In January-November 2021, grain shipments by Ukrzaliznytsia totalled 29.8 mln t, including:

  • 3.3 mln t of domestic traffic
  • 25.8 mln t of export
  • 194.3 thou. t of import
  • 488 thou. t of transit cargo

In September, UZ transported a record volume of grain for the last 10 years.

As a reminder, in late October, the Board of Ukrzaliznytsia was reappointed by end of the current year.
