The profit from Ukrspirt privatization will be $200-400 million — Kutovoy

The profit from Ukrspirt privatization is expected at $200-400 million. This was announced by Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Kutovoy on his Facebook page.

According to him, Ukrspirt privatization is a strategic task for the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

"The bill developed by my team sets clear sales rules for all state alcohol producers. The existence of the underground alcohol market results in billions of unpaid tax to the budget, the threat to the health and lives of our citizens", he said.

Taras Kutovoy noted that since 2010 the share of the underground alcohol increased from 10% to 45% in 2015, with the total losses of 6.1 billion UAH.
