Ukraine increased export of organic wheat by 22%

In July and November 2016/17 MY Ukraine exported 34.2 thousand tons of organic wheat, which is 22% more than in the same period of the previous season (28 thousand tons).
It is reported by APK-Inform.

It is noted that the main importers of Ukrainian organic wheat in the current season are Germany (30% of the total export volume), the UK (22%), the Netherlands (15%) and Italy (14%).

In general, during the reporting period organic wheat from Ukraine was shipped to 10 countries.

We would like to remind that, according to Elena Berezovskaya, Chairman of the Public Union of the certified organic products producers Organic Ukraine, the adoption of the bill "On the basic principles and requirements for organic production" will increase the organic products export volume.
