World supply of wheat will reach record level in 2018
Total feed grain supply will increase by 3,2% by the end of 2018
Global wheat supply by the end of 2018 will increase by 3,3% and will reach new record level of 247,6 million tons.
It was informed in FAO grain supply and demand summary report.
The main stock increase compared with the previous year is attributed to China and partially EU, Morocco and Russian Federation.
According to FAO estimate, total supply of feed grain by the end of 2018 is projected to increase by 3,2% compared with the last month’s forecast, and it will reach about 271 million tons after upward review of corn supply in China, which reached its historic high. However, despite such review, feed grain stocks in China immediately reduced by 20,5 million tons and it became one of the main reasons of world feed grain supply decline by 2,9%.
Let us remind that in 2016 Ukraine increased production of grain and legume crops up to 66 million tons.
