MHP increased the export of poultry meat by 44% over 6 months of 2017

Mironovsky Hleboproduct (MHP) has exported 123.04 thousand tons of poultry meat over the first 6 months of 2017, which is 44% more compared to the same period last year (85.26 thousand tons during 6 months in 2016).

This information was reported on the website of the London Stock Exchange.

In the second quarter of 2017, the volume of exported poultry meat amounted to 71.33 thousand tons, which is 31% more compared to the same period last year.

"The company continued to follow the strategy of both geographical diversification and product range optimization, increasing poultry meat exports, mainly to the MENA, EU and Africa," was stated in the report.

The total volume of poultry exports over the first half of 2017 reached 43% against 34% in the first half of 2016.

It was noted that domestic sales of poultry meat over 6 months decreased by 1% to 160.93 thousand tons.

In the same time, through the second quarter of 2017, the total volume of poultry meat sales to external customers increased to 157.25 thousand tons, which is 11% more compared to the same period last year. Over the period of 6 months in 2017, the total sales of poultry meat increased by 14% to 283.97 thousand tons.

Let us remind that in 2017 MHP plans to export about 220 thousand tons of poultry meat.
