Global coarse grain production forecast in 2017/18 MY reduced by 3 million tons
According to forecasts, the global production of coarse grain in 2017/18 MY will decrease by 2.84 million tons and will amount to 1.319 billion tons.
This is reported by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA).
At the same time, production of coarse grain in comparison to 2016/17 MY (1.36 billion tons) will decrease by 47.58 million tons.
Global coarse grain exports volume in 2017/18 MY is forecasted to be 185.75 million tons, which is 0.15 million tons less than September forecast, and by 17 million tons less than in 2016/17 MY (204,02 million tons).
According to USDA analysts, the volume of coarse grain imports in 2017/18 MY will amount to 180.3 million tons, which is 3.5 million tons more than the level of 2016/17 MY (176.8 million tons).
