Wilmar increased net profit by 92% in 9M 2017

Wilmar International Limited, Asian agribusiness group, increased net profit for the nine months ended September 30, 2017 by 92% to US$ 791.8 million (9M 2016: US$ 411.5 million). 

The company reports a 6% decline in net profit to US$ 370.0 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2017 (3Q 2017) (3Q 2016: US$ 392.2 million).

Revenue for the quarter was marginally higher at US$ 11.13 billion (3Q 2016: US$ 11.08 billion), supported by increased sales from Oilseeds & Grains, the company's report states.

Prior it was reported that Wilmar's net profit in 2016 amounted to 972.2 million, which is 5% less than the indicator for the same period last year (US$ 1,023.9 million).
