IDEAL combine from Massey Ferguson takes two top honours in Machine of the Year 2018

New IDEAL combine harvester from Massey Ferguson takes top honours in Machine of the Year 2018 Awards at Agritechnica 2017 — Silver Medal for Innovation, Machine of the Year 2018 title as well as the Public Vote Award.

IDEAL from Massey Ferguson is a completely new, high performance combine harvester range designed using requirements taken directly from farmers and operators around the world. It has a permissible for European roads transport width of only 3.3 m. This was achieved due to a threshing channel with a width of 1.4 m.

The machine is equipped with two axial rotors 4.85 m long (on the smaller IDEAL model only one rotor is used) with extra long threshing and separation paths with a diameter of 0.6 m. The range sets new levels of efficiency in the field and includes three models from 451 to 650hp firmly focussed on delivering significant gains in productivity and output.

The combine is equipped with an automatic harrowing system, through which the combine automatically recognizes the header and installs all the necessary systems in 5 seconds.
