Production of sunflower oil in Ukraine decreased

In November 2017, the production of sunflower oil by large and medium-sized enterprises amounted to 478.5 thousand tons. This is 6.5% less as compared to the previous month (511.7 thousand tons) and 9.6% lower than the indicator of November 2016, when production reached a record level for that period — 529.1 thousand tons.

UkrAgroConsult informs that in the first three months of the current marketing year sunflower processing volumes are at a high level, however, if compared to the previous record year, sunflower oil production decreased by 7.5% to 1336 thousand tons against 1,444.5 thousand tons a year earlier.

It is forecasted that in MY 2017/18 the production of sunflower oil should reduce by 9%.

Earlier it was reported that from the beginning of MY 2017/18, Ukrainian export of grain decreased by 10% and amounted to more than 21.32 million tons.
