Global coarse grain production forecast in MY 2017/18 increased by 3 MT

According to forecasts, the global production of coarse grain in MY 2017/18 should make up 1.324 billion tons.

USDA informs that the production of coarse grain will decrease by 41.84 million tons (MY 2016/17: 1.366 billion tons).

The volume of global coarse grain exports in MY 2017/18 is projected at 188.91 million tons, 0.4 million tons more than December forecast and 12.72 million tons less than in MY 2016/17 (201.63 million tons).

According to USDA analysts, the volume of coarse grain imports in MY 2017/18 should make up 183.55 million tons, 0.7 million tons more than the forecast for December, and 10.85 million tons less than in MY 2016/17 (172.7 million tons).

Earlier it was reported that the forecast for global wheat production in MY 2017/18 is increased by 1.8 million tons to 757.01 million tons, as compared to December forecast.
