Egg production in Ukraine grew by 477 million units

In 2017, egg production in Ukraine totaled 15.58 billion units from poultry of all species, which is 477.3 million units more than in 2016.

The Interregional Union of Poultry Breeders and Fodder Producers of Ukraine informs that enterprises produced 8.42 billion units, which is 349.5 million units less YoY. At the same time, private households produced 7.16 billion units, which is 127.8 million units more YoY.

Reference: according to preliminary data of 2017, the share of poultry meat remains the most significant in the structure of meat consumption in Ukraine — 48%, which is almost 1.5 times higher than the level of rational norms.
