Area under sunflower in Odessa region may increase

Most of the agricultural producers in Odessa region informed about a possible increase of area under sunflower in the current year, APK-Inform reports.

According to agriproducers, this situation is caused by a decrease in areas under winter rapeseed due to a lack of moisture during the autumn sowing campaign.

Reference: according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, in 2017 the area under sunflower in Odessa region amounted to 406.1 thou. ha.
