Ukraine increased organic peas exports fourfold

For the year 2017, Ukraine exported about 4.2 thou. tons of organic peas, which is a 4 times larger volume than a year ago, APK-Inform reports.

This growth was generated by the trading companies in the Netherlands and Switzerland that started purchasing this Ukrainian product in 2017. At the same time, the leading importer of 2016 — Austria — significantly reduced the purchase of this leguminous crop and became the third largest importer of Ukrainian organic peas.

Reference: in 2017/18, the amount of Ukrainian peas for export is estimated at 500-600 thou. tons, which will be a record volume.
