2.5 MT of Ukrainian sunflower oil projected for export to India

Analysts project that Ukraine can potentially export 2.4-2.5 million tons of sunflower oil to India by the end of MY2017/18, APK-Inform reports.

In September-April MY2017/18, Ukraine shipped to India 20% more (1.7 million tons) sunflower oil than over the corresponding period last season.

In April supplies reached a record monthly level of 285 thou. tons.

Reference: the FAO Vegetable Oil Price Index averaged 154.6 points in April, entailing a 1.4 percent fall, month-on-month, which mainly reflects developments in the markets of palm, soy and sunflower oils.
