A 4% grain production decline expected in Ukraine in 2018/19
The forecast for grain and leguminous crops production in MY2018/19 in Ukraine is reduced by 4% to 59.4 million tons, APK-Inform writes.
The future crop is projected at the following rates:
- wheat — apx. 24.1 mln t (–8.1%);
- barley — 7.3 mln t (–12%);
- corn — 25.5 mln t (+4%).
Previously it was reported that for the first 10 days of MY2018/19 the total export of wheat and barley from Ukraine exceeded 210 thou. tons, of which 115 thou. tons were barley deliveries and 95 thou. tons — wheat.
