Egypt purchased 475 thou. tons of Ukrainian and Russian wheat

On September 18, 2018, Egypt purchased 475 thou. tons of tendered wheat of Russian and Ukrainian origin for delivery in the period from November 1 to November 10, and from November 11 to November 20, 2018. UkrAgroConsult informs that the average purchase price stood at USD 244.32 per ton C&F. At the previous tender, the purchase price was USD 240.21 per ton C&F.

Thus, through the tender 120 thou. tons of Russian and 60 thou. tons of Ukrainian wheat were purchased with the delivery from 1 to 10 November 2018, and 295 thou. tons of Russian wheat — with the delivery from 11 to 20 November 2018.

Reference: since the start of MY2018/19, as of September 19, 2018, Ukraine exported 7.67 million tons of grain, which is 870 thou. tons less y-o-y.
