Barley shipments dropped 35% since the start of 2018/19

Since the start of MY2018/19, as of September 26, 2018, Ukraine exported 8.65 million tons of grain, which is 809 thou. tons less y-o-y.

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine informs that the export of crops from Ukraine reached the following indicators:

• wheat — 5.06 million tons (–195 thou. tons);
• barley — 1.93 million tons (–1.05 thou. tons);
• corn — 1.49 million tons (+283 thou. tons);
• rye — 40.8 thou. tons.

The Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and participants of the grain market for MY2018-2019 (effective since 01.07.2018) remained unchanged. Thus, the total agreed indicative volume of wheat exports is 16 million tons.
