Egypt purchased one Panamax of the Ukrainian wheat
Last Friday, the Egyptian General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) bought 470 thou. tons of wheat with a delivery within December 11–20, Agritel informs.
“Egypt imported six Panamax vessels (55 thou. tons and 60 thou. tons) of Russian wheat, one Panamax of the Ukrainian grain (60 thou. tons) and one Panamax of the American wheat (60 thou. tons),” the message says.
FOB prices for the cheapest Russian wheat stood at the level of USD 230 per ton against USD 234.58 per ton for the Ukrainian wheat and USD 218.5 per ton for the American wheat.
Since the start of the procurement campaign, Egypt purchased 3.8 million tons of wheat compared to 3.75 million tons of grain purchased from July to December in 2017.
